Standard of the house cat

To participate in cat shows, FIFé has drawn up standard features that each specimen must possess in order to be considered "suitable"

general aspect The specimen must be in perfect physical condition, must show an evident state of well-being.

A docile temperament and ease of handling are also required. Any coat color as well as any tail length are accepted.

head must not be disproportionate to the body, neither too large nor too small.

ears all shapes and sizes are allowed, however bends or curves are not tolerated, any identification tattoo does not cause penalties.

eyes bright and pure, the eyes of the participants must arouse trust in observers. Any shape and color are allowed.

body balanced, with healthy and robust muscles. Obesity or excessive thinness are not tolerated. Specimens of any size are allowed.

legs of any length and structure, as long as they are proportionate to the rest of the body.

coat In excellent condition, well cleaned and without areas of opacity, all colors and shapes are ascertained.

temperament and conditions Visibly happy, the cat will have to be docile and outgoing. Always easy to manage, without shyness or nervousness, in excellent physical condition.
