How to remove woodworms from furniture

dangerous insects for wooden furniture

Lavender is an unwelcome scent for furniture woodworms. To remove them, we create a solution consisting of:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 250 ml of white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of lavender

Let's let it rest overnight at room temperature. The next day, take a sponge and dip it in the lavender solution and rub it on the furniture, letting it dry naturally.

Essential oil

Alternatively, we could use lavender essential oil to create DIY soap bars to store in cabinets and drawers. Just melt some pieces of soap in a double boiler and add drops of lavender oil.

Once solidification has taken place, your bar will be ready. Finally, we can prepare the classic lavender flower bags, really nice and effective against woodworms!
