Extended Cookie Policy

We use cookies to make our site easier and more intuitive. The data collected through cookies is used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and more efficient in the future.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent by the site to the user's terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the site on the user's next visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user's hard drive or transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term 'cookie' refers to both cookies, strictly speaking, and all similar technologies.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where 'first-party' refers to cookies that report the site as the domain, while 'third-party' refers to cookies that relate to external domains. Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external party not managed by the site. Another type of cookie are the so-called 'Flash Cookies' (Local Shared Objects), used within Adobe Flash Player to deliver certain content, such as video clips or animations, in order to remember settings and preferences.

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used solely for the purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service (cf. art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website.

They can be divided into:

  1. navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, authentication to access restricted areas); they are necessary for the correct functioning of the site;
  2. analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the performance of the site;
  3. functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (for example, language) in order to improve the service provided. Prior consent of users is not required for the installation of these cookies.

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles relating to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing. The consent of the user is required for the use of profiling cookies. The user can authorize or deny consent to the installation of cookies through the options provided in the 'Cookie Management' section. In the case of third-party cookies, the site does not have direct control of individual cookies and cannot control them. You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings.
