Basic needs of the dog

highly social animal

dog behavior

The dog is a very social animal, as was its ancestor the wolf. Like the wolf, it was born as a group hunter, but then differed greatly in its evolutionary history.

The dog has in fact agreed to collaborate with the man. It is therefore necessary to establish relations with his blood relatives but also with man and other animals.

A dog whose relationship with his mother and siblings is severed early will develop behavioral problems that can lead to aggression, depression and other abnormal manifestations.

The dog was born as a predator that fights to live, to feed, to reproduce, to defend its safety and its territory as well as that of its owner.

The dog, like all pets, tends to become familiar with the surrounding area and if he is limited in this sense he will develop symptoms of depression.

Furthermore, the dog absolutely needs to move: through body movements it expresses its behavior and maintains satisfying relationships with the surrounding environment.
